COVID-19 Testing for Patients of the Aesthetic Associates Centre

Dr. Todd Shatkin Announces That Patients of the Aesthetic Associates Centre Can Receive COVID-19 Testing in Buffalo, NY

The onset of COVID-19 infections has affected the WNY community as well as the world. In an effort to do our part to help prevent the spread of infection and also provide safety to our doctors,staff and patients we are offering drive thru testing at our facility.

The Aesthetic Associates Centre has developed “The COVID-19 Weekend Drive Thru Testing Program” to help identify those patients who may have been exposed and/or infected with the virus. We will be providing these tests on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am-4pm.

Please fill out the online questionnaire completely and choose a selected date and time for testing. There is an $85 charge for each testing procedure which must be paid via the online portal. If you provide your health insurance information and your primary medical doctors information Quest Diagnostics will bill your health insurance for their lab portion of the process and notify your primary medical doctor of the results.

At the Drive Thru Testing one of our health professionals will utilize a swab technique to take a sample of your oral and/or nasal fluids. This swab will then be provided to the lab to provide diagnostic results.

We have partnered with Quest Diagnostics Laboratory to provide the COVID-19 laboratory results for our patients within 2-4 business days of testing. You will be able to login to Myquest.com to get your results.

The Staff and Doctors at the Aesthetic Associates Centre take your health and well being seriously. We also feel that these testing measures will reduce the risk to our staff, doctors and other patients at our facility, as well as prevent an asymptomatic, infected patient from some exacerbation after the treatment. This will also give you some peace of mind when you are around family members and loved ones. With our protocol, patients will undergo a COVID-19 test at the Aesthetic Associates Centre drive thru system at 2500 Kensington Avenue, Amherst, NY 14226. You can set up a specific time and date using the link above with the app or you can call our office to arrange a specific date and time. (716) 839-1700.

If you have a scheduled appointment or surgical procedure at our office, we request that you also have testing done within 3-5 days of your anticipated visit to our office. There will be no charge for this testing procedure. Please call to arrange this test. This will ensure that the result of the testing will be available by the date of your visit/surgery.

The online link will show you available time slots once you have completed the questionnaire. Please be punctual for your appointment time as we must run this program in a timely and organized manner. If you are late we may have to reschedule your appointment.

For those patients that are tested for COVID-19 and have a scheduled upcoming surgery at our office, to ensure that they are not exposed after the test and prior to their office visit, please adhere to the following list of restrictions to assure that exposures will not happen while waiting for results.

• Remain on full quarantine
• No community travel-stay at home only
• No contact with anyone outside your home or coming into your home

Notify the office if any of the following symptoms occur:

• Fever
• Cough
• Shortness of breath
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Or if you have known contact with COVID-19 positive individuals or individual with Influenza .

On the day of your visit/surgery, you may again be tested with a COVID IgG/IgM Antibody test to determine immunity or more recent exposure to the virus.

We realize there is an additional burden affecting all of us, but by taking proper precautions, we can safely provide our patients with the utmost quality care in a safe and comfortable manner.
