Dr. Todd Shatkin Donates Masks To WNY Aesthetic Associates Centre

In late March, Governor Andrew Cuomo asked local businesses to consider retooling and start to make personal protective equipment (PPE) to help with the increasing demand and dwindling supply of the necessary protective equipment. Dr. Todd Shatkin of the Aesthetic Associates Centre took that request and started to look into making masks himself. He quickly found the equipment he needed and purchased it as soon as possible. Due to logistic issues caused by the pandemic, it took a couple of months for it to arrive but in no-time, he had it up and running and was manufacturing N95 respirator masks locally here in Buffalo in two short months.

To date, Dr. Shatkin and Shatkin F.I.R.S.T. has invested more than $1,000,000 of their own money to the cause, and has hired over 30 new employees to help manufacture the respirators to meet the growing demand. Dr. Shatkin is also happy to report that he recently acquired a second machine which will soon allow him to manufacture millions of N95 respirator masks for those in need in our community and throughout New York State.

Dr. Shatkin is no stranger to giving back to the community he loves and serves. In fact, The Aesthetic Associates supports so many local community foundations and organizations including the Albright-Knox Foundation, The Ride for Roswell, Amherst Symphony Orchestra, The Amherst Alumni Foundation, The Buffalo Bills, The Buffalo Sabres, The Buffalo Bisons, as well as a variety of youth sports teams throughout Western New York to name a few.

Aside from donating masks to needy local businesses, charities, and hospitals, Dr. Shatkin is excited to be able to help Western New York and healthcare workers around the United States, especially here in New York State.
