HALLOWEEN CANDY BUY-BACK SPONSORED BY AESTHETIC ASSOCIATES CENTRE
Dr. Todd Shatkin is redefining the phrase “Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is”
BUFFALO, NY – Aesthetic Associates Centre is hosting a Halloween Candy Buy-Back Event Benefitting Local Children, Local Veterans, and Supporting Our Troops Overseas
Americans spend an estimated $2.5 billion dollars on a whopping 600 million pounds of Halloween candy each year.
If you’re like most families, your kids won’t need all the Halloween candy they’ll receive this holiday season. Many parents also get stuck with plenty of leftovers from buying more candy than they were able to pass out.
This Halloween, trick-or-treaters throughout Western New York can bring their excess candy to the Aesthetic Associates Centre and receive $1 per pound in exchange – all while supporting a great cause!
Global sugar consumption for kids increases by about 2% annually and currently sits at 50 million tons per year, which means parents need to be sure their kid’s teeth are being cared for more than ever.
Besides the negative impact candy can have on your children’s teeth, excessive sugar intake can lead to hyperactivity and weight gain. In some cases, the wrong types of candy can also lead to broken and damaged teeth.
Dr. Todd Shatkin aims to reduce sugar loaded candy consumption and negative oral health consequences by giving away dollars, toothbrushes, sugar-free candy alternatives, and fun Halloween favors in exchange.
“We are pleased to participate in the Halloween Candy Buy-Back program which supports Operation Gratitude and helps keep kids smiles healthy.” says Dr. Todd Shatkin from the Aesthetic Associates Centre, located in Amherst, NY.
How it works:
Candy will be collected at the Aesthetic Associates Centre on Monday, November 4th during regular business hours, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Each child is eligible to receive $1 per pound up to five (5) pounds for all unopened, uneaten candy. Dr. Todd Shatkin will also be providing children with goodie bags filled with fun Halloween favors, toothbrushes, and more. Once collected, the candy will be shipped to troops overseas via Operation Gratitude just in time for Veterans Day.
Children can keep the money or donate it to help support our local veterans in Western New York.
This year, the Aesthetic Associates Centre has partnered with the Veterans One-Stop Center of WNY, a local organization dedicated to improving the well-being of all Western New York veterans of the US Armed Forces and their families.
All monetary donations collected will go to support this great local organization.
If you don’t have any candy to contribute, no problem! They will also be providing paper and writing utensils for anyone that would like to include a morale boosting letter or picture for our troops overseas.
Dr. Todd Shatkin is honored to be able to give back to our veterans who have provided their selfless service to our country. He also looks forward to raising public awareness of the benefits of healthy eating and great dental hygiene.
